According to Allan Schurr, Micro Grids will be common in our day to day lives, as well as in industrial environments. The 3 key drivers for this are decarbonization, the need for more electricity and climate change. Decentralization of the grid infrastructure will make us all less dependent on older (expensive) transmission infrastructure. Energy Storage in combination with decentralized renewable energy production is the key to stabilize our grid.
